Another molt... Callisto's second!
I had just begun noticing that Callisto had been missing for a bit, uncharacteristaclly buried in the sand some where, a few days ago. Just last night he'd surfaced, still munching on his exo little pincher. I immediatly noticed the new leg tips, the differently colored exo (paler), and the hair... He's molted again! 2 successful molts in the 8 months that I've had him!!! Number 11...
Callisto is now quite a bit large for his favorite tiger moon shell... perhaps he'll try on that large rock shell I got when I bought him? It seems to be the perfect size now... I really can't quite comprehend how quickly these little guys grow!
I also notice that my Indo has been buried under the fake tree for about a week now. I can still see the top of his shell wriggling around at times... Going on day 5 or 6 of being in the same area... perhaps it's time for him to molt finally?
My surprise naked PP molter has moved into Mungo's original pet store shell. Last night he had a feast on the green bell peppers and pomegranite seeds I offered. Ate for HOURS. Perhaps it'll help him regain some color... he's still very pale...
Also, I never did get the time to set up my second tank. I tried Home Depot... got "help" from some stupid teenage employees who knew absolutely nothing about sealants. I left there for PetSmart down the road. I found out they did stock sealant, as I had suspected... but when I reached the aisle it was located, I found they were sold out. The first time I visit them in 3 months and they're sold out of what I need. Typical... I'll try again this weekend... Once I get my 5 E's in iso moved into the more spacious 50 gallon, I'll start transferring my main tank residents into Iso over the week, as they come up in preperation for the first major deep clean of that 40 gallon breeder... I'll get an accurate head count this time as well.
