Setting up my second tank.
Yeah the chart isn't done, not quite enough time to finish it... but I thought it was important to post this. Tomorrow I'll be able to finally finish up the repairs (hopefully lol) on the 40 gallon tank outside, and after some cleaning, I'll set it up Sunday.
The 40 gallon will be home to my last 5 "rescued" E's and any other future crabbies I may have the joy of taking care of. (Actually trying to get a pair of PP's from one of my mom's co-workers... They don't take care of them at all, only providing food and water, and they wonder why they don't come out very often...) So tomorrow I hope to spend my saved up $82 bucks on (first of all, a new 15 watt moon-glo, as mine just burned out! gah), a new tank hood (any size smaller then 3/4 of the top of my 40B and takes up to 45 watt bulbs), a 45 watt day-glo, new plants and toys for the new tank, possibly including dishes, and whatever else I think I need.
Planning to use something like 1/4 Bed-A-Beast, and 3/4 playsand, with many moss pits (either sunken terra-cotta pots, or some bathroom accessories from Wal-Mart) and hopefully some Cholla wood.
Also, I've found some little glass jars that I had the idea to use for sprouts! I've put in some Bed-A-Beast, and I plan to plant some lettuce seeds, and also
hopefully some green beans, and cilantro (if I can find the seeds from my plants last year!).
My camera is still out, so I won't have photos atleast until Sunday (probably later).
Also, I have yet ANOTHER molter today. An E came up, and is unfortunatly missing two legs! His exo has a strange blue-black tinge to it, and he's shrunken considerably... Seems to be quite active. I found him on the top of the fake-tree thing...
